Using Yarnmates
These terms apply to your use of Yarnmates, operated by Devin Clark under Clarkium. Use the service lawfully and provide accurate account information. If you do not agree to these terms, do not create or continue using an account.
Accounts and eligibility
Keep your password private and tell us if you believe your account has been misused. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account.
Do not create an account if you are under 13. If you are under 18, use Yarnmates with permission from a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms.
Free beta and future plans
The current beta is free. Features, layouts and availability may change while the service is being tested. A free beta is not a promise that all future services will always be free.
Any future paid offering must explain its price and applicable purchase terms before you choose it. The beta does not authorize an undisclosed charge.
Your content
You retain the rights you have in the photos, writing, patterns and other content you submit. Submit only content you own or have permission to use.
You give Yarnmates permission to store, process and display submitted content as needed to provide the features you use. Sharing a community post permits its display to the community; it does not transfer ownership of your work.
Respecting other makers
Do not upload pirated patterns, impersonate another person, harass users, publish private information without permission, send spam or upload malicious files. Follow the Community Guidelines.
Access to a pattern or article does not grant permission to redistribute it. Follow the creator’s stated license and applicable copyright rules.
Advice and external services
Crochet guidance, tools and articles are informational and may contain mistakes. Check instructions, measurements and suitability for your project.
External websites and transactions are governed by their own terms. A link does not mean Yarnmates operates or guarantees the external service.
Availability and moderation
The beta may have bugs, interruptions or changes. Keep your own copy of important instructions, photos and project information.
We may remove content or restrict accounts to address abuse, security risks or violations. You can contact us to ask about a moderation decision.
Closing an account
You can request account closure or deletion through Privacy Contact. We may verify your identity before acting. The Privacy Policy explains retention considerations and backups.
Limits and your legal rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the beta is provided as available without a guarantee that it will meet every need or be uninterrupted or error-free.
Nothing in these terms removes rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow us to exclude. These terms do not create a mandatory arbitration agreement.
Changes and contact
Updated terms will be posted with a revised date. Material changes will be explained through an appropriate service notice. Questions can be submitted through Privacy Contact or the signed-in Feedback page.
